You may say…Who is Kristi Nichols and why is she running for U.S. Senate?
First of all I would like to say “I am not a career politician or an attorney”. I am simply an average working American that wants to see our nation returned back to our original founder’s intent.
My experience is very common and ordinary but full of insightfulness, creativity, wisdom and results. I am lifelong Missouri resident who grew up in Lee’s Summit Missouri. In high school I was involved in student council, yearbook and even a Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader. After high school I continued my education in college. As I pursued my college studies an opportunity arose for a flight crew position with a major airline. This opportunity became a reality and led me to a 20 year career of international flying. During my 20 year career I traveled to 12 different nations and all 50 states. I have had the opportunity to experience a wide variety of culture and meet people from all over the world. It has truly been a life experience education. Traveling all over the world has affirmed to me that the U.S.A. is the most blessed, prosperous nation in the world. We have a heritage of overcoming impossible obstacles that is rooted in our Judeo-Christian values. We must pass on the source of our strength to future generations. My flight career concluded with special Air Force military assignment for operation Iraqi Freedom. I am currently an area sales manager for a national storage company in the Greater Kansas City Area. I manage, sell and train in 26 locations through out Kansas and Missouri, where I have just been recently named “number one in the nation”. I reside in Brookside with my husband David of 21 years.
Throughout my adult career I have had a wide variety of “hats” I have worn over the years. I have been a small business owner, publisher and pastor. My greatest joy is to serve people and to be a role model for upcoming generations.
For many years I have worked behind the scenes in different capacities of political campaigns. Like many Americans I have seen the nation I love take a direct turn in the wrong direction. I am a firm believer in the “consent of the governed” as our constitution clearly defines. Americans are now clearly seeing that we must stand against government takeover of our liberty and God given rights.
As a Tea Party organizer, I have seen the power of the people coming together as I believed we have not witnessed since the American Revolution. I have been a registered Republican for the past 29 years. I have seen the core values of conservatives with-in the party almost disappear. I consider myself an “Independent Tea Party Republican”. I believe the Republican conservative core values can be restored with-in the current 2 party system.
As a strong conservative with a Biblical worldview I believe as our founders did in limited government. The more government interference in our individual lives, the less freedom we have and a lower standard of living.
Thomas Jefferson said “Freedom is choices”, there are 8 other republican Candidates who are on the ticket to be the next U.S. Senator. I am an experienced leader who can channel the energy and values expressed by the “Tea Party” movement to elect ethical, responsible leaders who will be effective and accountable to “The People”. I will stand for traditional values that have made this nation a pillar of strength. Join with me to take this nation back to our firm foundation of our constitution.
